Fengshui

‘Feng’ translated means ‘Wind’. ‘Shui’ translated means ‘Water’. You pronounce it as: Fung Shway. This Chinese believe system of Feng Shui study how cosmic energy called ‘Chi’, can influence the well-being, harmony of the people and its surroundings. By stipulating the correct place and orientation of the house, by the institution and by the garden construction, there will be a harmony between the universe, nature, the house and the human.

There are several Feng Shui methods to get the best results. The most complex method contains the basic elements (ground, fire, water, wood, metal) combined with the hour, the month, the day and the year of the birth of the occupant.

An easier method gives general rules for the correct position and direction of the house. A third method stipulates the correct moment to build, cultivates or institution.

What is Chi?

In Chinese cosmology Chi is an energy flow in the universe. This energy cannot be observed visually. According to our contemporary terms ”Chi” can also be translated as ‘life-breath, vitality, air, mist, wind ‘.  According to oriental philosophy Chi is also the basic element of creation. The Chi or energy flow can become influenced by human intervention or by natural causes.

There are two types Chi:

A negative cosmic energy, ‘Sha Chi’ and a positive ‘Sheng Chi’.

Sha Chi (negative cosmic radiation) are caused because yin and yang are not in balance. Sources of Sha Chi are environment clogging, incompetent human interventions in the natural environment, and natural disasters as a result of the composition of the ground or the surroundings is no longer arranged to live.

Sheng Chi is the contrary of Sha Chi. It is a positive energy flow as a result of harmony in the surroundings, balance between yin and yang. A conbination of Sheng Chi helps people spread or diffused Sheng Chi have it’s disadvantageous. Oppressing Chi can be deadly.

For Example:

In meditation techniques combined with breathing can help you master the Chi. An optimum mentality and physical balance will be reached by this way. When the Chi is oppressed.  There will be jammings between body and spirit.  Result would be insomnia, fear and all kinds of sicknesses.

Besides a balance between the human body and the spirit.  A balance between environment and the occupant is also important to feel well.

It is important to combine and make a good path for the positive Sheng Chi, so that it can be exploited optimally in favour of the occupants. If the body and spirit are healthy, the occupant is able to think clearly and have unpredictable luck and joy. Cosmic energy flows from the inside out. Problems can be avoided or minimized.
