Laundry Care
We all came across this similar situation. You’ve cut your hand and bled on your clothes. First thing that came to mind is that “it’s ruined!”. I know a lot of people that have thrown away their favorite piece of clothing because of having blood of them. They might have tried spot removers, laundry detergents or even bleach and have failed to get the blood stain out. True, bleach might get the blood stain out of the white clothes but you can’t use bleach on color clothes.
Here is a laundry tip to save your favorite clothing. The magic item is Hydrogen Peroxide. Yes this is the same thing we use for cleaning out a cut. First thing when you get home with the blood stained clothing is to put the Hydrogen Peroxide right on the stain. You should see it working. If you can use a little bowl and have that stained part of the clothing soak in the Peroxide solution. Give it like 5 to 10 minutes. Check to see if all the blood stain have come off. If not pour a little bit more on it. After you see that the stain is gone or just a faint trace of it on the clothing then use laundry detergent on it. I prefer to use the liquid one. Rub the detergent on the stained area. Use a brush if you have to. Then put the piece of clothing into the wash like you do the other clothes. The stain should be gone.
