Cheese Vegetable Bake
- 150g Broccoli
- 150g Cauliflower
- 50g Ground Cheese
- 50g Bacon
- 25g Cherry Tomato
- 1tbsp Butter
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
White Sauce
- 25 g Flour
- 75ml Evaporated Milk
- 1tbsp Butter
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
Method:
1. Preheat oven at 220 degrees.
2. Wash broccoli and cauliflower, water blanch and drain, set aside.
3. Cut bacon and cherry tomatoes into tiny pieces.
4. Heat 1tbsp of butter, fragrant bacon and cherry tomatoes, add salt and pepper to taste, set aside.
5. Melt 1tbsp butter in saucepan, add flour and mix well. Switch off fire, add evaporated milk into mixture and stir constantly till very smooth. Season with pinch of pepper and salt.
6. Spread cauliflower and broccoli on baking tray, add bacon and cherry tomatoes, follow with white sauce and ground cheese. Put tray in oven and bake for 20 minutes.
NOTES:
Inflorescent vegetables are rich in vitamin C, calcium, potassium and dietary fiber. It is important to soak them in salt water to remove residue of pesticides.
